Special Rescues

All of our rescues are special to us. We love what we do and we love border collies. Every time we save a dog, that dog impresses on us the need for people to love and respect these incredible animals. We are always grateful that we are blessed with the calling to step up and take responsibility for the breed that has brought us so much joy, and has taught us so much.

But sometimes a rescue dog touches us a little more deeply, and leaves a firmer pawprint on our hearts. Below are the stories of some of the dogs that we were truly fated to save, and who have reminded us more than anything else that our rescue efforts DO make a difference, one very special dog at a time.

Hello all;

I write this e-mail in between wiping my eyes. Tears of joy have been falling for the past hour as I've have read about your grand deeds.

If I am having a bad day and nothing is going right I know what will make my problems seem minor. Your kindness and never ending dedication in making this a better world hits me right where it should. I have 2 wonderful bolder collies. One came from the SPCA 5 years ago and one from friends. After reading your page I can't wait to go home and play with my pair. People that allow dogs into their lives are rewarded everyday. I read this quote a while back and it is true. " If there are no dogs in Heaven then I want to go to the place where they go" (or something like that)

Hi Folks...

I just want to say.. " Well Done"... I will admit to the tears steaming down my face as I type.. remembering my dearest friend, Nellie... A wonderful person in a dog suit...Borders are ... well.. you know... Her daughter remains as a tribute .. not her.. not Nellie... but still a Border in her own right...Those that have not established a relationship with a Border cannot know... I have lived with many dogs in my life.. but as that bumper sticker says.. " Anything but a Border Collie is just a dog"...I miss Nellie so....

And, I will help you at BC Rescue, when I can...

I was on the web searching for a day care for my border callie Jake when I came across your website. I wanted to write a note to tell you that I think you are all doing amazing work, and that it brings tears to my eyes when I think of all the good you are bringing to these dogs. I have bookmarked your page for the future, just in case I can help out as a foster home.
